A 21 year old man is accused of threatening several people outside a home near 48th and Ginny Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on the Fourth of July. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says three adults and a teenager were at a block party when 21-year-old Dylan Stanton arrived.

Vollmer says Stanton was reported to be intoxicated and made verbal threats when he was told to leave.  He says Stanton was carrying a holstered handgun and made references to it while making the threats.

“Stanton did leave the gathering after reportedly removing the handgun from the holster and waiving it in the air,” Vollmer says.   Officers contacted Stanton on the front porch of his nearby home and taken into custody.

Police also found a Glock .40 caliber handgun on the porch.  Stanton was booked into jail for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
