Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a Chevy Tahoe on Highway 6 between 98th and 112th Monday night and found that 37 year old Justino Martinez of Lincoln was driving suspended.
Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says Martinez was then placed under arrest and deputies searched the vehicle. “A 9mm pistol was located in between the front seat and the center console.”
Houchin says Martinez is a convicted felon and was prohibited from possessing a gun. He had been previously convicted for armed robbery and other crimes.
He was booked for possession of a firearm by a prohibitive person, driving under revocation and an interlock violation.
