Lincoln Police says they began receiving calls early Tuesday morning from residents near 84th and Adams who said their vehicles were broken into and items were stolen.
Sergeant Chris Vollmer says the reports began coming in around 6:30 a.m. “There have been about seven cases so far. Most include the vehicles being left unlocked, but there are two reports of windows being shattered.”
Vollmer says items taken include a duffel bag, purses, a backpack, shoes and gift cards from Scheels and Marcus Theatres. He reminds Lincoln residents to never leave your vehicle unlocked with valuables inside.
