The search is on for a man accused of threatening a woman with a rifle near Davey Saturday afternoon. Sheriff Terry Wagner says 27 year old Patrick Wolfe made the threats outside a travel trailer he and the woman shared on north 27th Street.
Wagner says Wolfe also threatened bystanders who witnessed the confrontation and called 911. “The victim said call the sheriff. She couldn’t get to her phone because he had it. He told them if they contacted law enforcement he would kill them.”
Wagner says Wolfe was gone before deputies arrived. “There was a pretty extensive search until about 11:00 at night looking for him.” He says the State Patrol helicopter assisted deputies and troopers on the ground, but they couldn’t locate Wolfe.
Wagner says he is a convicted sex offender and is wanted for assault and weapons charges as well as terroristic threats.
