This Friday, The Lincoln Airport will be holding their next installment of their 2023 LNK Outdoor Movie Series, projecting the Pixar hit Cars on the side of the old Cold War hanger on the west side of the airport.
Attendance is free, and in lieu of tickets, attendees are encouraged to make a donation to The Food Bank of Lincoln, who will have donation bins set up at the event.
President and CEO of the Food Bank of Lincoln, Michaella Kumke told KLIN News what donations their in need of for the summer months, “Shelf stable items are highly useful for the food bank. Items like peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables. We like to encourage the healthier varieties… Cereal, cereal bars; Those are other great, helpful items. Mac and cheese, can’t go wrong. Canned tuna and canned meats.”
Food trucks will line up around 6 p.m. and the movie will start at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. More information available here.
