Johnsonville is recalling more than 42,000 pounds of ready-to-eat pork sausage links due possible contamination from plastic fibers. The Wisconsin based company is voluntarily recalling some Beddar with Cheddar links that may be contaminated with the fibers.
The affected sausage links were shipped to Nebraska and seven other states and has the “best by” date of 07/11/2023. According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service there is a very low risk for adverse health effects if the sausages are consumed.
The sausages should be thrown away or returned to the store where you bought them. They were produced on Jan. 26.
