Lincoln Police were called to the 1500 block of D Street after gunshots were heard around 10 p.m. Monday. Officers spoke with a man who came out of a residence. The officers saw the man kept reaching inside his pockets and told him several times to stop.
Officers then saw he was reaching for a handgun that was inside his pocket. Officers took the gun and saw that one round was missing from the magazine. Officers searched the home and saw there were no victims. They did find a shell casing matching that of ammunition in the gun.
Officers also saw damage to a hallway wall consistent with damage from a bullet.
The 21 year old man was booked for carrying a concealed weapon and for discharging a firearm in the city limits, both misdemeanors.
