By Karla James Aug 2, 2021 | 11:14 AM

Lincoln Police were called to the University of Nebraska Credit Union at 301 N 52nd Street around 6 a.m. Monday to investigate a burglary in progress.

A man reported that while making a delivery to the nearby Hy-Vee they heard voices and the sound of construction work in the area. He then saw people running away from a white truck they left in the parking lot. The truck, a 2002 Ford F 350, was connected to the bank’s ATM and had been pulled from the ground.

The truck had been reported stolen out of Omaha. Officers processed the scene and searched the area. They are requesting surveillance from nearby businesses. The estimated damage and loss is not yet known.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
