Employees of Lincoln Orthopedic and Physical Therapy near 27th and Superior were evacuated after woman backed her SUV into the building around 11:00 Monday morning.
“We arrived and found one vehicle with one patient and no one inside was injured,” says LFR Captain Shane Cuttlers. He says the woman was treated at the scene, but was not hurt.
It’s unclear what caused the driver to back over curb and into the brick wall in front of the business. The corner of the building that was damaged is where the officers are located. One woman was in her office when the crash happened.
After crews tended to the driver, Cullers says they turned their attention to the stability of the building. An inspector indicated that it was stable enough for the business to continue to operate.
What led to the crash remains under investigation.
