Nebraska State Patrol Troopers responded to a unique call Monday night…and should have brought tortilla chips.

A trailer hauling a load of avocados lost a large portion of the produce after loosing control and going into the north side ditch on I-80 near the 70th street bridge in North Lincoln. The fruits were scattered all over the interstate.

Nebraska Department of Transportation reports that I-80 had reduced lane access during the cleanup process. NSP received help from volunteer firefighters with Waverly Fire & Rescue. The road was back open by early Tuesday morning. A picture from he scene below.
