The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 50 year old woman who they say damaged the Waverly home of her ex-boyfriend late Friday night.
Sheriff Terry Wagner says Michelle Grantski claimed that she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. When deputies arrived at the home in Waverly to follow up Wagner says Grantski admitted that she trashed his house and set the inside on fire. “She caused about $5,000 damage to the interior of the residence while the male resident was not there. She also poured a flammable liquid inside the oven and started it on fire,” Wagner says.
Damage inside the home included walls, doors and light fixtures. Wagner says her ex-boyfriend was not at home when the vandalism happened.
There was no evidence of a physical altercation and the man was not cited.
