Lincoln Police say a fire that broke out at the Hidden Gem Tattoo Shop Wednesday morning is being investigated as arson. Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the business near 48th and St. Paul Avenue around 6:30 a.m.
A passerby called saying that there were flames coming from the back of the building. Lincoln Fire and Rescue was able to extinguish the fire and a fire inspector determined the fire was deliberately set. Officers canvassed the area, requested video from nearby businesses and assisted in processing the scene for evidence.
The estimated damage is around $2,000 and the fire was confined to the outside of the building. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
