A Lincoln business was heavily damaged after a crash late Wednesday night. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says a car slammed into the ET Apothecary building near 27th and O Street around 11:30 p.m.
“Arriving officers found a 2008 Cadillac CTS was westbound on O Street attempting to turn southbound onto 27th. The sedan was not able to complete the turn at the speed they were traveling.”
The car then slammed into the front of the building. Damage to the business is estimated at $10,000 and Vollmer says the car was totaled. Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected in this case. The 19 year old woman who was behind the wheel was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
“At the hospital she was cited and released for negligent driving, driving during suspension and no insurance. Business owners posted pictures of the crash on Twitter. The business opened in April of 2021.
