Boom or bust offense paired with inconsistent pitching made for a series loss over the weekend for Nebraska baseball.
The Huskers fell at No. 23 Maryland Friday 8-4 and Sunday 20-5 but did manage a win Saturday 12-10. NU is now 25-19-1 on the year and 10-8 in the Big Ten Conference.
Nebraska hit seven home runs across the three games, with Max Anderson notching one each game. The Huskers have now hit 83 homers on the year, just 10 shy of the school single-season record set in 1985.
NU will play a game-and-a-third on Tuesday at Creighton. The Huskers and Bluejays will continue their previously suspended game at 5 p.m. followed by the regularly scheduled game at 7.
