A shoplifting call sent Lincoln Police to the U-Stop at 610 South 10th Street around 1:28 p.m. Thursday, July 15th.

An employee told police that a man had taken two bottles of alcohol. An officer located 23 year old Pablo M. Robinson walking in the area of South 11th and H. As officers tried to take him into custody, Robinson thrust his hand into his pocket. Robinson was taken to the ground and while resisting arrest was handcuffed. Additional officers arrived and they found a knife in Robinson’s pocket and a pipe that pre-tested positive for meth residue.

Robinson also tried to ingest a plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine. He was then taken to a hospital to be evaluated before being booked for possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence, theft by shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia.
