Lincoln Police have released more details in Tuesday afternoon’s deadly crash involving a motorcycle at 84th and Holdrege. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says an SUV driven by a 75-year-old Lincoln woman was northbound and turning west onto Holdrege.

She says a motorcycle driven by 21-year-old Braedon Timm of Lincoln was southbound in the right turn lane, but continued through the intersection and struck the passenger side of the SUV.

“Witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and changing lanes when it collided with the SUV in the intersection,” Thomas says.  Timm was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The SUV driver wasn’t hurt.  A 78 year old woman who was a passenger suffered minor injuries. The investigation is continuing and Thomas says anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call their non-emergency number at 402-441-6000.
