The Leading Economic Indicator-Nebraska rose by 1.24% in March 2023. The increase in the leading indicator, which is designed to predict economic growth six months into the future, suggests that the Nebraska economy will grow through the third quarter of 2023.
Four of the six components of the index were higher with two just slightly lower. Initial unemployment claims were down in March which indicates a continued strong labor market in the State.
