Lincoln Police have arrested a 46 year old woman they say robbed the Super C store near 21st and G Streets at knife point Saturday night.
Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says Elizabeth Padilla also stole a vehicle Sunday morning in the 1400 block of south 10th Street.

LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says Elizabeth Padilla got away with cash from the register.  On Sunday morning Thomas says Padilla stole a car from a driveway in the 1400 block of South 10 Street after threatening an acquaintance and demanding the keys.

“Sunday evening at approximately 5:00 p.m. investigators found the stolen vehicle in an alley near 18th and ‘F’ Streets with Padilla inside.” Thomas says. “Investigators ordered her out of the vehicle, but she accelerated and rammed one of the police vehicles before driving off.”

The vehicle was spotted around 4:00 Monday afternoon near 17th and ‘D’ Streets.  An officer followed the vehicle to the area of 20th and ‘G’ where Padilla got out of the vehicle and began to run away.  She was arrested after a short foot chase.

The investigation determined that Padilla robbed that Super C store twice this month as well as the Kwik Shop at 48th and Adams. Padilla was taken to the Lancaster County jail and booked for robbery, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and attempted second degree assault on an officer.
