More than 380,000 Nebraskans are currently enrolled in Medicaid, but tens of thousands of them are at risk of losing coverage this spring. “Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, they halted predetermining eligibility for every enrollee. That has been restarted since the beginning of April,” says Amy Behnke, CEO for Health Center Association of Nebraska.

She says nobody has had to go through an annual reenrollment process for a while.  Now that it has restarted, they will be looking at eligibility  information for everybody that is currently enrolled in Medicaid.

Enrollees will soon receive a notice in the mail. “The big and most important thing people can do right now is make sure their contact information is with the state of Nebraska is current and up to date so they receive all of those notices.”
