A Lincoln Police officer spotted a driver behind the wheel with a suspended license around 4 a.m. Saturday near 27th and O. The officer conducted a traffic stop at 22nd and O Street and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. That led to a probable cause search.
The officer found a loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun with an extended magazine concealed under the floor mat of the driver’s seat. An empty extended magazine and a small amount of marijuana was found in the vehicle.
22 year old Jakerrius Gill was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and for driving under suspension.
