Lincoln Police are investigating a crash on the campus of Lincoln Southwest High School early Wednesday morning. Lincoln Police and LFR responded to 14th and Pine Lake Road around 5:20 a.m.
“A black Dodge Ram was traveling westbound on Pine Lake and continued through the intersection into the Southwest High’s property,” says LPD Sergeant Derek Dittman. He says the car then crashed into the school’s concrete sign.
Dittman says the driver was taken to the hospital to be evaluated and is awaiting charges. The school principal sent a message to parents advising them of the situation and that LPD assured them there was no current threat to their staff, students or building.
