Lincoln Fire and Rescue says an electrical issue is being blamed for causing a fire at a duplex near 17th and A Street just after 2:00 Monday afternoon.
LFR Captain Nancy Crist says there was light smoke when they arrived and crews quickly found the fire in the basement. “The fire was contained to the basement and it sustained a total of $40,000 in damage.”
She says six residents were relocated.
