Lincoln Police are investigating after shots rang out Sunday morning in the near Canopy and P Street. Captain Todd Kocian says dozens of rounds were fired around 2:00 a.m.
“The individual who called in reported hearing gunshots and seeing people running from the area,” Kocian says. “When officers arrived they found two vehicles that had bullet holes.”
He says one of the vehicles hit with gunfire struck several parked vehicles. Police also located nearly 50 shell casings from two different caliber
handguns. He says there have been no reports of injuries.
