Lincoln Police are investigating a homicide that happened late Friday night near 27th and fair Street. LPD says officers responded to a report of gunshots around 11:30 p.m.
When officers arrived several people were fleeing from a house party. A short time later, an 18-year-old Lincoln man arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries.
The man has not yet been identified and police are trying to track down suspects. ” We ask for the public’s assistance in coming forward with eyewitness accounts or any information related to the shooting as the investigation continues,” LPD said in a statement.
