Nebraska baseball’s catcher has caught the attention of a national award.
Sun Prairie, Wis., native Josh Caron was named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List Friday afternoon. The announcement came from the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission.
So far in the 2023 season, Caron is batting .353 with three doubles, three home runs, eight RBI, and seven runs scored. He has started seven of Nebraska’s eight games behind the plate.
The Huskers upended No. 7 Vanderbilt earlier today in the Cambria Classic in Minneapolis. NU still has games this weekend against Hawaii Saturday and No. 4 Ole Miss Sunday.
