A homeowner awoke early Sunday morning to someone trying to break into his house. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says deputies were called to the home near 4th and Pioneers around 3:00 a.m.

He says 18 year old Jett Antons had placed a steel water bottle inside a bag and used it to break windows and damage the glass sliding glass door.  Houchins says Antons initially ran over a mail box and then went to the house to try and break in.

He says Antons was incoherent when deputies contacted him. He was booked for MIP, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI. Antons had a blood alcohol content that tested at .223.
