Lincoln Police are investigating the theft of construction equipment from a site near 40th and Yankee Hill Drive. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says they were called just after noon Tuesday.
“Arriving officers spoke with the jobsite superintendent who advised a Yellow Case model 420 Skid Steer bucket loader was taken from the site.” He says the keys to the machine were still secured at the site and it’s not known how it was removed. It was taken sometime between Friday and Tuesday morning.
The value of the bucket loader is around $20,000. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
