Lincoln Police say a vehicle stolen from a neighborhood Saturday morning was damaged after it crashed into a parked car. Sergeant Chris Vollmer around 8:00 a.m. a 53 year old man reported his Toyota Avalon was stolen from his driveway during the overnight hours.
“The victim reports the vehicle was left unlocked with the key fob in the vehicle,” Vollmer says. About 45 minutes later officers were called to an area near 84th and Holdrege Talon Road on a report of a hit & run.
Vollmer says officers found the stolen Avalon had struck a vehicle parked in a driveway. “The driver had fled the area and the Avalon had rolled back into the street.”
