The Lincoln City Council on Monday approved a 35-year lease for the Youth Sports complex located at 1st and Cornhusker.  The council also approved $4.5 million of funding for the project.

“The Lincoln Youth Complex will be a great addition to the City of Lincoln,” says Councilman Tom Beckius.  “I am looking forward to it’s construction in due time.”

The $27 million complex will be paid for money from the public and private sector.  Nebraska Wesleyan’s baseball and softball teams will also play their games at the complex.

Construction is set to begin this spring and is expected to be completed in fall of 2024.
