The Lancaster County sheriff says someone tried to use a stolen skid loader to steal a Coke machine outside a the Mini Mart convenience store at SW 84 and West O Street in Emerald Thursday night.
But Terry Wagner says that attempt failed when the skid loader ran out of gas. Wagner says the skid loader had forklifts with the Coke machine on it. Store employees found the skid loader with the Coke machine.
Wagner says it was stolen from a construction supply company at 36th and West “O” Street and driven out to the convenience store a few miles away. No arrests have been made yet.
