Lincoln Police say a 19 year man is facing charges after six vehicle crash in downtown Friday afternoon.   Sergeant Chris Vollmer says an officer saw the man’s  slam into the back of another vehicle near 11th and O Street just before 4:00 p.m.

“The collision caused a second vehicle to strike a third, the third to strike a fourth and the fourth to strike a fifth,” Vollmer says.  “Officers tried to make contact with the initial driver but the car continued through the painted median and hit a sixth vehicle at the intersection of 10th and “O” Streets.

Vollmer says the vehicle came to a stop due to the damage it sustained.  The driver was identified as Edgar Aguilar-Ramos. He was taken into custody
and booked in jail for leaving the scene of an injury accident, DUI, minor in possession of alcohol, reckless driving and no operators license.

Aguilar-Ramos had a blood alcohol level of .186 when he was tested at the jail.
