National Weather Service Omaha has released an updated weather briefing. Areas of blowing snow will continue into Friday, and extreme cold is expected through Saturday with wind chills of -25 to -45 expected. Subzero wind chills may continue into Christmas Day. The Winter Weather Advisory is ongoing in northeast Nebraska and parts of Iowa.
