Salvation Army Inching Closer To Tree Of Lights Campaign Goal

By Tom Stanton Dec 19, 2022 | 11:11 AM

The Salvation Army in Lincoln is helping make the holiday’s brighter for less fortunate families across Lancaster County.  Major Mark Anderson says as of Monday morning they have reached 70 percent of their $625,000 Tree of Lights Campaign goal.

Anderson says they are a little behind last year’s totals.  “We are very hopeful that everyone will push forward this last week and, of course,  we go into January with this campaign.”

Anderson says the campaign represents hope for the less fortunate across Lancaster County.  Money can be dropped off at any red kettle location or at the Salvation Army near 26th and Potter.

Monday is also a big distribution day for the Salvation Army.  ” We’ll be giving away hand packed food baskets and toys to families that have signed up.
