Nebraska baseball will begin its postseason journey in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The Huskers are the 2-seed in the same region as No. 1 overall national seed Arkansas. The Razorbacks are coached by former Nebraska coach Dave Van Horn, who was in Lincoln when current Nebraska coach Will Bolt was a player.

“Not playing non-conference games may have (penalized the Big Ten),” Bolt said. “It’s five wins to Omaha no matter how you draw it up.”

Nebraska opens against Northeastern Friday at 7 pm. The Huskers went 36-10 on the season while winning the CAA Championship. Host Arkansas plays New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Friday afternoon.

Friday losers will play Saturday with Friday winners to follow. The Regional will continue Sunday and into Monday, if necessary.
