Lincoln Police say no serious injuries were reported after a two vehicle crash late Wednesday night that sent on vehicle into a pond.  LPD Captain Duane Winkler tells KLIN News the crash happened at 27th and Yankee Hill around 11:00 p.m.

He says after the collision one of the vehicles went into the water on the southeast corner of the intersection.  “The occupants of the other vehicle fled the scene and have not been contacted,” Winkler says.

No one in the vehicle that went into the pond had to be rescued.  Winkler says the two people who ran from the scene tossed some empty alcohol bottles into the water.
