Lincoln Police were called to 52nd and O Street around 10:40 Thursday night to investigate a robbery. Officers spoke with a 17 year old male and several witnesses. The victim said he was sitting in the parking lot when a vehicle pulled up and several people got out. The victim got out of his vehicle and the group started punching him. The teen suffered a shoulder injury, bruises to his head, and scrapes to his arms and legs. He later went to a hospital for treatment.
The group did take a necklace valued at approximately $200.
Officers are working to establish a motive for the assault and identify those responsible. The investigation continues.
