LPD coordinated an underage drinking project in step with the return of school and football season. Prior to kickoff for the final four home Husker games from Oct. 1 to Nov. 19, police used extra officers to monitor underage drinking and other illegal activities.

Police issued 26 citations for public consumption, and 23 given to minors in possession. There were also 10 instances of minors misrepresenting their age, seven citations for urinating in public, 11 given for narcotics, 166 parking violations, and 40 vehicles that were towed. Three people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
