Lincoln Police are investigating after construction workers arrived at their job site near 84th and Holdrege on Monday and found that a variety of tools and spools of copper wire were missing.
Captain Todd Kocian says the employees reported that sometime between the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Monday morning several large job boxes had their locks drilled and items removed.
“The stolen items include miscellaneous tools and spools of copper wire,” Kocian says. The value of the stolen items is estimated at $36,000. The damage to the job boxes is estimated at $245.
