There is about $5,000 damage to a garage at a two story home at 5600 S 72nd Street. LFR crews were called to the home around 7 p.m. Monday after a call to 911.
A resident went to fix a breaker to a refrigerator and saw smoke coming from the outlet. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the garage. The residents were not displaced and no one was hurt.
LFR’s Nancy Crist says, “The message is as soon you think something is wrong, call 911 so we can get there and mitigate the problem.”
