A 27 year old Lincoln man is facing charges after police say he threatened to kill construction workers before barricading himself inside an apartment Tuesday night.
Just after 8:00 p.m. LPD officers responded to the 4600 block of Huntington Avenue on a report of a weapons violation. A woman told officers that her boyfriend, Nathaniel Tromblee, had been harassing the construction workers at the apartment complex.
When she told Tromblee to leave them alone, Officer Luke Bonkiewicz says Tromblee shoved her into a wall. One of the construction workers said that Tromblee had been telling them he would fight and kill them. At one point, Bonkiewicz said Tromblee produced a black handgun and pointed it at the construction workers.
A witness turned over a video recording that captured Tromblee shouting at them. When officers showed up, Tromblee barricaded himself in the apartment. The LPD SWAT team was then called in to assist.
After five hours of negotiating with Tromblee, he finally came out of the apartment and was placed in custody. Officers arrested Tromblee for Terroristic Threats and Domestic Assault.
