Jim Pillen was elected as the next Governor of the state of Nebraska Tuesday night. Pillen is a hog farmer and a veterinarian from Columbus and beat Democratic challenger Carol Blood by a 56-41% margin.

Governor Joe Kelly in January. “Nebraska voters spoke with one voice tonight for less government, less mandates, less taxes, and in favor of commonsense, business leadership.,” Pillen told supporters at victory party.
“I want to thank the countless supporters across the state who made this victory possible tonight. Tomorrow, we begin again the work of making Nebraska the greatest place in the world to work and raise a family.”
