Lincoln police are asking for the public’s help identifying two people involved in separate incidents, including the theft of a wallet from a gas station near the Lincoln Airport and an assault on a man in a wheelchair outside a north Lincoln Sam’s Club.
LPD’s Becky Keller says the first case happened August 11th around 2:00 p.m. “The victim in this case was on a cross-country road trip from Pennsylvania to Wyoming and he stopped at Fat Dogs gas station near the Lincoln airport and filled up with gas.”

Keller says he realized when he left that he sat his wallet down on the concrete block near the gas pumps and forgot to pick it back up. “When he returned for it, it was gone.” Keller says video was reviewed and a woman was captured on camera picking up his wallet and not turning it in.
“She had a tattoo of what appeared to be a baby footprint and handprint on her left chest,” Keller says. She was driving a Chevy Captiva smaller SUV. Check out video of the theft below.
The second case happened on August 30 just before 5:00 p.m. “A passerby called police to report he just witnessed a white male with a pony tail and red shirt, assault a transient man in a wheelchair,” Keller says.
“The witness said he observed the man in the red shirt strike the victim with his fist several times, knocking him and his wheelchair over.” Keller says officers spoke with the victim who said the unknown man punched him approximately six times with his fist before knocking him over in his wheelchair.
The suspect had on skinny jeans, a red tee, and gray and orange Nike Shox shoes. He had several tattoos on both arms and some type of headband or bandana. Keller says a passerby took this photo of the man as he was walking away and is the only image they have.
