Twenty-one Lancaster County roads have reopened after flooding forced their closure, and officials expect the remaining 10 closures could be lifted Friday afternoon.
County Engineer Pam Dingman says conditions have significantly improved as high water recedes. The remaining roads need only minor maintenance to address damage from running water, giving crews a promising outlook for reopening them.
West Panama Road between Southwest 128th and Southwest 142nd streets was added to the closure list Friday morning because of overnight drainage. County officials say it may be the final new closure associated with this flooding event.
As of noon Friday, the following locations remained closed, with reopening expected later in the day:
– Agnew Road: Between North 134th and North 112th streets.
– Ashland Road: Between 70th and 84th streets.
– Davey Road: Between 141st and 162nd streets.
– Greenwood Road: Between North 176th and 190th streets.
– North 134th Street and Rock Creek Road: The intersection.
– North 84th Street: Between Ashland and Little Salt roads.
