Lincoln Transportation and Utilities says South 40th Street between Pioneers Boulevard and Prescott Avenue is fully closed due to an emergency water main repair. LTU says water service is expected to be restored sometime Wednesday, however, additional street repairs will be needed, and a schedule for that work is still being evaluated.
Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route and exercise caution around the closure. LTU says repair timeframes are subject to change because of weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
