Lincoln police have identified the man who died following a motorcycle crash Friday in the Highlands area as 33-year-old Dillon Williams of Pleasant Dale. According to a Lincoln Police report, Williams was riding a 2023 Harley-Davidson southbound on NW 1st near W. Grand Drive when he attempted to pass another motorcycle in the same lane.
Police say his motorcycle clipped the front tire of the other bike, causing both drivers to lose control and slide along the roadway. Williams was taken to Bryan West Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The police report indicates Williams was not wearing a helmet.
The other motorcyclist suffered minor injuries. Police believe both riders were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
