Nebraska center Justin Evans was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list Thursday. Evans was selected by the trophy committee to the 40-player watch list using data from Pro Football Focus.
Evans has started 31 games at Nebraska and played in 38. He started at center all last year after starting at left guard in 2024. He made five starts at guard at 2023 as well.
13 of the 40 members of the watch list are from the Big Ten, the most of any conference. The award is named for legendary former Husker center Dave Rimington, a two-time first-team All-American and two-time Outland Trophy winner. He swept the Outland and Lombardi Trophies in 1982 and finished fifth in the Heisman voting as an offensive lineman.
