Drivers traveling north on Interstate 180 will encounter overnight ramp closures beginning Sunday as the Nebraska Department of Transportation completes bridge repair work.
Weather permitting, the northbound I-180 ramps to both eastbound and westbound Cornhusker Highway will close at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. The same overnight closures are scheduled for Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30.
The ramps will reopen each morning at 6 a.m.
NDOT says there will be no posted detours during the closures and advises motorists to plan alternate routes. The work is being performed by Constructors, Inc., of Lincoln.
If weather delays the project, the schedule may change.
Drivers are reminded to slow down in work zones, buckle up, and avoid using cell phones while driving.
