A popular summer concert in Lincoln is moving indoors because of concerns about the weather. The 38 Special and Kansas concert scheduled for Saturday has been relocated from Pinewood Bowl Theater to Pinnacle Bank Arena.

“Our priority is the safety of the fans and the artists,” says Tim Savona, General Manager of Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl Theater. “In working with local experts, it is most appropriate to move indoors to Pinnacle Bank Arena in order to ensure a positive concert experience for all.”

The decision was made jointly by Legends Global, Lincoln Parks and Recreation, concert promoter Mammoth, and the artists’ management teams to provide the safest and best possible experience for concertgoers, performers, and staff.

Savona says all previously purchased tickets will be honored at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The indoor seating configuration will include reserved seating sections similar to those planned for Pinewood Bowl Theater.

Doors will open at 5:00 and the concert begins at 6:00.
