Lincoln Police have arrested a woman accused of driving her car into a crowd during a Sunday morning disturbance in a parking lot near 20th and ‘N’ Street.  “41-year-old Lakisha Amerson of Lincoln was identified as the driver of the black 2011 Cadillac CTS sedan involved,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.

“She drove the car into a crowd of people, seriously injuring one person, then backed into an SUV before driving off.” Investigators arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Lancaster County Jail for second-degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, criminal mischief, and driving under suspension.

Thomas says the incident began around 2:25 a.m. after officers learned a fight had broken out before the people were struck.  The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information, including video or audio recordings of the incident, is asked to contact Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
