Less than a week after closing her Nebraska playing career, Cornhuskers pitcher/first baseman Jordy Frahm has her next role set: assistant coach for Nebraska softball. The USA Softball and National Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Year, two-time Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and four-time first-team All-American was announced as the latest addition to the Husker staff after the retirement of 37-year assistant Lori Sippel earlier this week.

Frahm, who led Nebraska to two regional championships and the 2026 Women’s College World Series, added one more honor to a crowded resume Thursday night as she was the lone Husker to be named to the Women’s College World Series all-tournament team. Frahm was a potent two-way player for Nebraska after winning two national championships as a pitcher at Oklahoma before transferring home before the 2024 season.
